[mythtv-users] Audio stuttering during 1080p playback

I have found that not all players are created equal in this regard.  This is
one area where Totem (gstreamer) and Xine are definitely better than
Mplayer.

I have an Athlon64x2 3800+ and I have experimented a bit with multithread
settings in Mplayer but I have not gotten anywhere.
