[mythtv-users] ir-blaster and Suse 10.3

There's not very many good howto's on the web for setting up an ir-blaster, at least not distro-specific ones, but I found a great one at http://madplanet.com/mpg/articles/ir-blaster.html and followed it to the letter.

Partway through boot (or if I try to 'modprobe ledxmit_serial') I see

HTPC:/home/mythtv # modprobe ledxmit_serial
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.conf.local line 6: ignoring bad line starting with 'below'
WARNING: /etc/modprobe.conf.local line 8: ignoring bad line starting with 'pre-install'

...so a halfhearted test of my script gets me

HTPC:/home/mythtv # /usr/local/bin/change_channel.sh 10
irsend: could not connect to socket
irsend: No such file or directory
irsend: could not connect to socket
irsend: No such file or directory

with the number of key presses called by the script clearly coinciding with the number of times those 2 errors repeat themselves (two, in this case).

Any Help?
