I'm not sure of the OPs actual intent, but most HDTV that aren't
FullHD (ie 1080) run at a native resolution slighly higher than 720p.
1,366x768 is (I think ) the most common, but perhaps OP has an oddball
tv.

Also, I've never toyed with it significantly (so I may be way off
here) but the one time I did play around with resolutions on my HDTV
(under Windows, using powerstrip and the nvidia control panel) I ran
into the issue that I could adjust the size and position at all the
custom resolutions (like 1,366x768), but when I ran it at 720 or 1080
resolution the adjustments were disabled and I couldn't resize.
