The important thing to know about the IR dongle of the 350 is that it 
will only accept codes that use the RC-5 protocol. You're not, 
strictly speaking, limited to just the remote that comes with the 350.

You can see if a particular remote uses this by looking for the 
string "RC5" in the flags parameter of its lircrc file.
