Are you sure it is trying to load the right file, in the right place
with the right name ?

No firmware, no DVB :o)

I strongly suggest that you get the latest code/drivers for DVB,
especially as you are using a Nova-T-500.

It's not really difficult or long, try it. it's well worth it!
