I had an Audigy 2 ZS which may well have a different chip / ALSA driver
state than the Audigy 2 proper, but after a year of intermittent fiddling
and only ever getting PCM digital out I gave up and got a Turtle Beach
Riviera ($29) that "just works" with AC3.
