I'd go back and make doubly sure that the cards are seated properly in 
the PCI slots.  If you find that they are, then I'd go CMOS diving and 
try and see if there is a CMOS setting that is either hurting you, or 
co9uld possibly help you (in your BIOS Setup).  In particular, pay 
attention to IRQ assignments and possible conflicts.  Failing that, I'd 
try the cards one at a time and see what happens.

Maybe even go back to your old motherboard and see what their settings 
were there.  It might help point you towards potential conflicts on the 
new motherboard.

If you can't see them in the lspci, its because Linux can't find them 
when its scans.  That's the problem you need to solve.
