[mythtv-users] "NVP: Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times" - errors after rebuilding seektable for recording

I had a few old recordings that had no seektable entries due to a
corrupted table that was fixed some time ago but I didn't get round to
fixing the individual recordings at the time. These recordings play ok,
but obviously you can't skip forward or backwards, which is a real bind.

All recordings are UK Freeview DVB-T using a Nova T.

After rebuilding the seektable using:
mythcommflag --rebuild --verbose important,general --allend 20080831235959

to rebuild all programs before that date (August 2008 and before).

The output from mythcommflag would suggest that the table has been
successfully rebuilt:

Rebuilt

However playing the recording in MythTV results in a black screen
immediately, with the error "NVP: Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times."
occurring every second or two.

Any ideas?

As an additional item, I see that any "Radio" programs recorded via DVB-T
are skipped by this process, due to there being no video channel in the
recording.

Is this normal? Recordings made normally appear to have seektable entries,
so why is this tool unable to process the files?
