While I'm not trying to 'make it big' with a tech blog, I would love to 
be a part of this.

I don't know what it is, but something about it appeals.

I like messing with hardware and seeing how much abuse it can take 
before going out in a big puff of Magic Smoke(tm)?  Must be my time as a 
QA tester coming out....
