This was not true. Probably only my imagination :)

Since I didn't receive any reponse to these questions, I have done
some investegation and will try to answer some of my own questions.

1. I used 'dvbsnoop' to detect streams that transmitted AEIT. I tuned
to a channel using [szap 'channel name']. Then I used 'dvbsnoop -s
pidscan' to se which streams I had on the different transponders.
2. My second question still stands.
3. There has recently ben some commits regarding this lately so I will
update to trunk and see if there are any improvments.

I'm using Nilesat, and it looks like PID #18 on each (or most of them)
transponder contains 'Aggregate Event Information Table (AEIT)' AEIT
is mentioned here: http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/EIT.

As far as I can see, this channel/PID is not detected/included as part
of MythTV scan (at least I can't see it in the channel list).

Does anyone know if there are supposed to be any special handling of
AEIT in MythTV?

Anyone know if it is possible to include this stream in the EPG generation?

Could it be a possibility for me to add this channel manually to the database?
