[mythtv-users] Some recordings do not appear in Watch Recordings but file is on hard drive and was in Upcoming Recordings?

mythbackend -v help

will tell you what the logging options are.

I'd say the following would be a reasonable start.

mythbackend -v schedule, record -l /var/log/mythbackend.log

and look to see whether the recording ends cleanly and, if not, why not.
