[mythtv-users] Noobish network cable connection question, basement > upstairs

I just got the server up and running and put the router in the basement for
now.

Ahhh, for shame, I do not have a UPS :(   I really need to grab one, and it
was part of the plan as we settled in.. I do recall a UPS thread or two here
so I'll do some searching in the archive.


As for that splitter Mitch linked to, it wouldn't be splitting the data rate
of the one cable going in, would it?
