The core2 duo at 1.8GHz is slightly faster than the dual core 3 Ghz
PentiumD. I gather when comparing processors subtract 1Ghz from
PentiumD when comparing to an Athlon X2. And about 1.6GHz when
comparing to core2. This will give you a rough estimate of
performance.
