I'm happy to hear that HD-PVR support via the -fixes patches sounds
pretty reliable. Have you experienced any crashes or other serious
issues which could be attributed to these patches?

I think I may order go ahead and order a HD-PVR and give this a shot. I
was holding off to see if the "PVR Companion" would be a better option,
but I'm gotten bored waiting for it to be released. ;) IIRC, that device
will use MJPEG2000. Is the VDPAU stuff strictly for H.264 or would it
provide the same benefits for MJPEG2000 content?

I currently have an AMD X2 4200 in my Myth box. I'm guessing this will
not be sufficient to decode the HD-PVR files (moving to trunk w/ VDPAU
isn't really an option for me at this point). Looks like I can swap the
processor out for a 5600 fairly cheaply. Anyone know if that would
suffice? I can always add in CoreAVC to the mix to help.

Joe
