I couldn't get the driver to load with a Windows VM no matter how hard  
I tried. It said it worked, but I couldn't use it at all. I finally  
connected it to a real Windows XP machine, reloaded the drivers and it  
worked after that. Make sure your VM can actually use the device  
before trying to get it working on your linux machine.
