Chances are that your computer is incapable of using PureVideo for video
decode acceleration. PureVideo is not magically enabled by installing
the drivers, you have to have a player or a DirectShow filter to use
it. That means either buying the PureVideo decoder from nVidia, or
having it packaged with WinDVD or PowerDVD. There are no free filters
that provide that capability.
Either way, the Windows port seems to use Direct3D rather than
DirectShow for playback.
