Hi all

I am running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy (kernel 2.6.24-19-generic).
I have installed mythtv from the repositories and under System
Status/Tuner Status I get the message "Tuner 1 is not available"

In the backend setup selecting New Capture card defaults to:
Analog V4L capture card - Video device /dev/video)
Probed info unknown/generic [saa 7134]

lspci gives me: 00:0a.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors
SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev d1)

dmesg | grep saa7133 gives me:

registered as card -2

Am I correct in assuming this means the card is recognised and the
driver is loaded?

The backend log file includes the following:

Starting up as the master server.
2008-08-25 17:15:18.894 TVRec(1) Error: Problem finding starting
channel, setting to default of '3'.
2008-08-25 17:15:18.896 ChannelBase(1) Error: InitializeInputs():
Could not get inputs for the capturecard.
Perhaps you have forgotten to bind video
                        sources to your card's inputs?
ERROR: no valid capture cards are defined in the database.

Can anyone suggest where I go from here?

Regards

Robert
