I know there have been protocol changes within a branch as recent as 0.20 so
it is not far fetched to thing DB changes would also be possible.  It is
just one of those things for which there is very little reason not to do it
based on the potential issues and the unlikelyhood of anyone providing much
assistance if you're clearly running differing versions.
