Right. This is the "works but unsupported" way that I use now as well.
Neither xorg nor nvidia officially support this. My biggest issue is that
it doesn't support multiple logins on dual-head cards, and there are only
so many cards I can stuff into my server.
I am trying to do this with Xephyr because it gives me an extra two user
sessions. I hope to get 2 mythfrontend sessions and 2 user logins, all
independent, from 2 dual-head cards. I suspect that showing 2 HD streams
will probably max out my box; if not I'll throw in a third card and use
that for another front end.
My goal is to reduce the number of machines in my house from 5 to 2, to
have the front ends 'always on' and completely silent (since the box
serving them is 50' away in another room).
