Sounds a bit like the issues I had.

(small hwoto to delete tuner, channels, etc and quickly set them up again)

This helped me get stuff to record.



Still I think that it's a bug when the backend says it is making
recordings while they don't appear on the harddisk. (even if there is
misconfiguration)
