upgrade MythTV, run mc.sql ( 
http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-6.html#ss6.2 ), then run 
mythtv-setup, then restore your programs, etc. with 
http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-23.html#ss23.7
