What things?
All hostnames (for backend etc) are set to locahost or 127.0.0.1.
No confusion there.
Database is all default. mythconverg, mythtv/mythtv. config.xml and
mysql.txt say the same. (why the need for two config files?)
As you can see in one of my other posts in this thread the program runs
'normally'. The fact that things don't work despite the log saying it is
OK tells me that some errorchecking is lacking.
Yes, I (maye have) made a configuration error. But shouldn't the program
tell me if things can't work this way? (like they do at this point in time)


I think I'll compile a document with all relevant info I can think of
and file a ticket.
