[mythtv-users] Need Different DVD iso Play Configs for Different Front Ends

I am having trouble configuring my two client frontend computers to
play DVD iso files. The client computers have very different
architectures and require different xine configuration lines. One
machine is a VIA EPIA M10000 (Via openchrome graphics) and the other
is an Asus M2NPV-VM (embedded nVidia 6150) with an AMD 4600 dual
core, 64-bit processor. I only run SD and both machines are running
mythtv-0.21-185.fc8, Fedora 8, 2.6.24.4-64.fc8
The VIA system requires XvMC to operate acceptably, works fine, and
my xine configuration line for iso files is: /usr/bin/xine -pfhq -D
-V xxmc --no-mouse --no-splash dvd:/%s
I have not been able to get XvMC to function on my nVidia hardware
but have enough horsepower to do SD without it. Therefore, I want to
have my DVD iso player configuration to be: /usr/bin/xine -pfhq -D
--no-mouse --no-splash dvd:/%s
I have found that when I change the configuration on one client
machine, those changes are reflected on all my frontends. I want to
separately configure them.
One last thing, I NFS share common configuration files between all
the machines. Those files are:
/opt/store - recordings directory
/opt/dvdlib - dvd iso directory
/opt/lirc/lircd - /etc/lircd file
/opt/lirc/.lircrc - .lircrc and .mythtv/lircrc file
/opt/MythVideo - DVD poster directory
/opt/channels - channels gif directory
It seems like the DVD player configuration is defined globally in the
mythconverg database making one setting for all frontends. If this is
a design feature, how do I configure DVD iso viewing for different
hardware configurations? If it is a bug in my configuration, how do I
resolve it?
