[mythtv-users] No sound with dvb-t recordings, but ok on others

I have a backend/frontend plus two working frontend only systems.  I am
adding a new frontend which has developed a weird sound problem. The
backend has a bt848 encoder plus a dvb-t card

The new system has sound with the bt848 recordings, but not with the
dvb-t recordings.  The recordings play fine on the other systems.

The recordings have an ac3 and an mp3 component - selecting either from
the menu makes no difference - defaults to ac3.  Running mythfrontend in
a terminal shows no errors as the codecs are selected.

Where is the best place to look for a cure?

OS is gentoo, myth is at 0.21-fixes - tried latest 3 versions :(
