Not sure about Mythbuntu, but here's what I did for Slackware 12.0

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Pinnacle_PCTV_HD_Pro_USB_Stick

My steps differed a little from what the instructions I read were
saying, but in the end, I got the stick working just fine.
