No it wouldn't. You are asking it to only record programs that START
in the next 6 hours. You don't say anything about when they end (I
purposely left that out).

Thats what I thought too, but I just wanted to mention it to be
thorough (in case I was mistaken).

Yes, if that's where your bottleneck is, it will help tremendously.
Because of the way conflict detection needs to be done, the scheduler
scales worse than linearly.
