Brad,

I tried doing what you said above, and it did indeed create a new instance
of vncserver on display 1, and I could log in while displaying video but I
only had access to a terminal window.  If that's all I get, why would I use
this instead of ssh?   How would I go about getting graphical access on a
different display that doesn't interrupt the mythfrontend use of the
machine?  Any hints would be appreciated.
