[mythtv-users] Should I stress about nVIDIA motherboard drivers?

I finished switching over to my new MythBox last night. It has a nFORCE 630a / Gforce 7050 motherboard from abit.

All my old content and associated database records are in there, and I successfully recorded and viewed a HD program (Saturday Night Live . . . sadly pretty lame).

I even edited the digital channels so they could pick up the program listings.

Now, two things remain undone:

* Finding the best playback settings.
* I'd like to eventually use the motherboard's HDMI port. (Right now I'm hooked up via VGA.)

At the moment I'm using the unedited "Normal" playback set. It's OK, but playback of content captured by my Happauge 150 doesn't seem as smooth as before . . . and while the HD playback looks great there's a slight jerkiness that I don't think should be there.

Right now I'm using the nvidia drivers from . . . livna, I think. I think it's the 169 set of drivers. The kernel module and everything loads up, and the nvidia control panel is available and lists all the funky gl related operations supported. However, I don't think it's all there. When I choose a XvMC playback I got a black screen.

I checked the nvidia site, and right now there is no specific Linux driver set for the nFORCE 630a / Gforce 7050 motherboard. Is this something I should be waiting with baited breath for? Or should I be looking to fine-tune what I've got?
