a couple others mentioned that i should check out AVSForums.com for
more info.  on one of the Denon 3808 threads there was talk about a
couple HTPC apps that someone was using/writing to control their
receiver.  i haven't dug into it much more since i'm still comparing
receivers.  but it looks as though it /can/ be done. :)
