[mythtv-users] Problem with PVR-500 on Myth .21

I am having an interesting problem since I upgraded to FC8/Mythtv .21. I
was previously using FC6/Myth .20 without any issue. The sound from one of
my inputs is very tinny, echoy and distorted when watching live tv or
viewing a recording. When watching live tv I can return to the main menu
and go back to watching live tv- (on the same input)and the sound is
corrected. This doesn't work so well on recorded tv- once the sound is bad
it stays that way. At first I thought the card may be damaged until I was
able to correct the the sound by exiting and returning to live tv.

My hardware is a PVR-500, Asus P5B MB, Nvidia GEforce 7300 graphics,
onboard sound. I connect to 2 directv D-100 receivers using s-video and
rca cables.

I don't see any errors in the logs.

I have tried the what seems to be everything- cleaned connections, moved
the card, switched directv receivers, updated to the latest kernel and
ivtv-kmdl.
The problem remains with card1 and can be corrected by the process
described above, but will return some time later- usually on a recorded
program.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
