I didn't see that post last week...Nevertheless I'll try to find it. 
Was there a solution?

The exact same problem came up a week ago on this list. Are you
specifying a target CPU during configure?

Do not pass --disable-backend to configure - this can cause problems.

If you don't want the backend enabled, build it, but don't start it.
