I'm actually having similar issues right now.  Also, I had a very
similar-looking lineup from Charter over here in Massachusetts.  I had a
channel 1008.0... except that if I tuned to it, it would crash LiveTV
(causing some behind-the-scenes process to segfault and leaving me with
an unusable mpg in my recordings directory).  Have your experiences been
similar so far?
