[mythtv-users] Dual HDTV Tuner for Australia

You can watch (a recording) and record at the same time with one card! You
just wouldn't be able to watch _LiveTV_ and record at the same time. You
might well find that you end up not watching Live TV very much, in which
case a single tuner would do the job.

Having said that, I'm using a DVico Dual DTV-Plus card on Gentoo with the
Linux DVB Mercurial drivers, and it works nicely. Note that one of the
tuners on this card is a USB device, and requires an available USB2 port.
Any DVB card you buy will do HD (unless maybe it's a USB1 device, in which
case the USB bus won't have enough bandwidth.) Steer clear of cheap co-ax
splitters - you need a decent signal for DVB cards to work reliably.
