After thinking about it, I believe I did get better digital signal with the
amp off.  This weekend I was using analog stations to gage signal strength
since the people helping me didn't know what to look for in signal strength
in the HDHR tools.  My reasoning was, if I was able to receive the analog
station well, I could get the digital staion in better.  But, I believe that
last week, when the amp was off, and it was around 8ish at night, I was
receiving some other stations as well.  Maybe that's the next step.  I'll
wait until later tonight and run the channel scan again.  Thanks!
