"Coke" is an interesting example, and is actually different depending
on where you are in the states.  (See http://popvssoda.com:2998/ for a
fun pop/soda/coke map.)

I grew up in OK, then moved to KS, and was frustrated for quite a
while when, after ordering a "coke" I wasn't asked what kind -- they
just brought me a Coke!
