I am assuming that you are talking about the Biostar board and not the 
Gigabyte board...  I am using CentOS 5 on this as my master backend 
after replacing my FC5 backend.  In order to get the onboard ethernet to 
work, I went to realtek and downloaded r8168_8 drivers, and compiled it 
against the kernel.  Works flawlessly.

Not sure what packager would actually be responsible for this...
