On that same setup screen where the 'Monitor CD/DVD...' option is, you may find 
a box which allows you to enter devices which the system should ignore. I 
installed a front-panel gadget to allow me to insert SD/MMC/Compact Flash cards, 
etc, and I got loads of these messages in the log (they are treated as removable 
drives).

Enter the (comma-separated list of) devices in that box and the messages will go 
away.

Caveat: I am running from svn, I don't know at what point the 'ignore' box 
appeared in the setup menus.
