I've never used a digital system.  Some of the PTT cell systems seem  
to have delays of up to a second or two before they build a circuit,  
though, from what I've seen.

Dunno.  Internet voice chat annoys me.  I tried it a few years ago,  
got frustrated by too many garbles and dropouts, and have never  
really tried it since.
