You'd need to use Storage Groups in SVN trunk for the subdirectories
part unless you create links back to the original directory.  If you
have both a "Dad" Recording Group and a "Dad" Storage Group, and
assign a scheduled recording to both of those, then the recording
would be grouped visually in mythfrontend and grouped in the proper
directory on the storage end.  The Storage Groups code is smart enough
to know if you are using multiple directories on the same drive.

Same here, but wanted to explain how it could be done.  This would be
one way of giving different 'users' different amounts of Storage.
Dad and Mom share the 500GB drive while little Johnny has all his
shows on the old 80GB drive so he doesn't cause mom & dad's stuff to
autoexpire.
