That was my thought, too.  However, I reburned the CD image and it does not prompt me for a password anymore... Works just great.  Kind of strange, but I'll take it.

I believe it's asking for the *database* password.  To use Mythbuntu as a
live CD, without installing it, you'll need to have a myth backend running on
another machine.  When the liveCD prompts you for this, just fill in the info
about the backend machine.
