I bet a lot of people would be happy to watch HDTV downsampled to  
720p at 30, though.  As was discussed in an earlier thread, at typical  
home viewing distances the difference between 1080 and 720 isn't  
noticeable anyway, except in the case of front projection setups  
where the image size is quite large.
