I think my problem stemmed from the fact that I had Mythtv installed and
working for quite some time, then it broke. So, having recently moved to
Ubuntu 7.10, I decided to re-install using mythbuntu. It is probable
that some bits and pieces were left behind when I removed the old set up
and these must be removed, I expect. The trouble is that I don't know
very much and so I am stuck. At the moment I feel like throwing the
whole lot out of the window and to revert to the ordinary television
set.
