I have no idea what the FC6 instructions are. From your earlier description
I'm going to assume you had the FC6 atrpms packages installed, and then to
get some fancy new thing, grabbed SVN. If this is the case it seems likely
that you have packages or parts of them still around.

Packaged versions usually install to /usr, while svn (if you didn't provide
an explicit prefix) will default to /usr/local. You probably have
/usr/bin/mtd and /usr/local/bin/mtd, or you never built and installed the
trunk mtd.
