[mythtv-users] Digital Audio help

I realize there has been a rash of digital audio questions posted 
lately.  I have followed those and have been unable to get my set-up 
working.  For now, I would be happy if I could get "speaker-test" 
working after that I will get pass through working.

I have an ASUS A8N-E that has both optical and digital coaxial.  I have 
tried speaker test using both connections and am unable to hear any pink 
noise using: speaker-test -D plug:spdif -c 6 --test=pink

$ cat /proc/asound/pcm
00-02: Intel ICH - IEC958 : NVidia CK804 - IEC958 : playback 1
00-01: Intel ICH - MIC ADC : NVidia CK804 - MIC ADC : capture 1
00-00: Intel ICH : NVidia CK804 : playback 1 : capture 1

I would appreciate suggestions.
