[mythtv-users] Running mythfrontend without xv and without resetting the sound volume

Howdy,

I have two small issues with mythfrontend each time I run it on my laptop
(backend on another machine):

1) it resets Vol and Pcm to 75% 
   I haven't found any way to stop it from doing that every time I start
   mythfrontend, even by having master mixer volume and pcm mixer volume
   set to 100% in the backend config.
   This is most annoying, and prevents me from hearing anything until I fix
   it each and every time in my volume mixer.
   How do I fix it? :)

2) it seems to use xv unconditionally, which displays with xv on my laptop.
   the main problem is that colors are wrong (faces look blue).
   I'm not sure why that is yet, especially because playing videos locally
   with mplayer does not have that problem, but if figure if I can get
   mythfrontend to render some other way, I can hopefully get rid of the
   blue faces :)
