I'm using a M$ wireless Comfort Keyboard model 1.0a and M$ wireless 
mouse model 1852 with my mythtv. They both work fine.  I purchased both 
in the states at Costco Wholesale not quite two years ago.  I was 
concerned that battery life would be short but that hasn't been a 
problem.   My guess is that both keyboard and mouse  sleep until 
activity is sensed then wake up thereby conserving battery life.   I 
recall that this unit operates on 27 MHz (yes that's not a misprint the 
CB band which has a part 15 frequency!)  so  IX at 2.45 GHz shouldn't be 
a problem as suggested later on in this thread.  I actually seldom use 
the keyboard because Mythtv can be easily controlled from an infra-red 
(IR) remote.
