It does bail on all my videos which do play fine in MythTV... Here is a
copy of my output of mytharchivehelper:

# mytharchivehelper --getfileinfo 1280_20071004210000.mpg testfile.mpg 1
2007-10-09 13:09:48.675 Opening 1280_20071004210000.mpg
0: start_time: 31.916 duration: 329.249
1: start_time: 31.873 duration: 329.257
stream: start_time: 354.145 duration: 3658.797 bitrate=5189 kb/s
Input #0, mpeg, from '1280_20071004210000.mpg':
  Duration: 01:00:58.7, start: 354.145378, bitrate: 5189 kb/s
  Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 480x480, 6000 kb/s,
29.97 fps(r)
  Stream #0.1[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s
2007-10-09 13:09:48.690 Calculating frame count
2007-10-09 13:10:36.302 frames = 109652
2007-10-09 13:10:36.303 duration = 3658

I did set my recording profile for either "transcode" or my capture card
to capture at 640 x 480 rather than 480 x 480... Is that a part of the
problem?
