[mythtv-users] Lock CDROM tray

Is there a way to lock the CD/DVD drive tray in with MythTV?

I've been using the "cd-lock" tool here:

which locks the CD/DVD drive tray in to keep little fingers (think 0-3 year
olds) from ejecting the tray and breaking it.  It uses the CDROM_LOCKDOOR
ioctl().

However, this doesn't seem to work with Myth 0.20.2 ...unless I tell Myth
not to "Monitor CD/DVD".

Is there a better way to deal with this under Myth?
