Brian is correct. I am the author of the MyBlaster script and it will 
ONLY work with a MyBlaster brand serial port model. Unfortunately the 
company has gone out of business so the only place to get one is on the 
used market. Ebay has them occasionally. If you were to find one, it 
would control your STB no problem. I think one of the standard codes 
will work but it will learn the codes if not.
