[mythtv-users] cannot connect to X server : first reboot after install

The first time that i reboot the computer after installing knoppix
R5F27 i cannot get my display to work.  Once the system reboots i set
the output to TV out at the first prompt then after a min or two i end
up at the command line.  I then try to restart setup manually by
typing: mythtv-setup and i get the error: cannot connect to X server.

Any Ideas?
